The Levitt Public Service Internship Fund is a new fund that was started with the generous support of Arthur Levitt, Jr., with the goal of supporting students interested in careers in public service. It will be jointly administered by the Career Center and the Arthur Levitt Public Affairs Center.
Eligibility: In order to receive funding students must procure a public service internship which may include internships in government, with non-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), think tanks, and other comparable organizations. Preference will be given to sophomores and juniors, and to students working in government, non-profits, and NGOs. Student awards will depend on the number of hours they work over the summer, with students being compensated at a rate of $7.25 an hour, plus a stipend for travel and food, with the total award not to exceed $4000.00.
